Job Summary
Portfolio Manager is responsible for retaining existing quality loan portfolio and expand it. PM manages the loan portfolio and contacts borrower regularly, propose new loans, readjust the pricing. Also, manages the loans quality to ensure loans are under proper risk grading, and monitor problem loan status.
Essential Job Functions
- Contact borrowers for loans are maturing and collecting requirement documents.
- Perform term loan reviews and prepare credit memo. Contact borrowers for questions and issues. Report issues to credit manager and recommend loan risk grading.
- Identify and discuss new business opportunities from the portfolio to propose new loans and suitable products.
- Schedule the renewals and re pricing proactively to retain good relationship.
- Assist account officers to perform initial cash flow analysis and financial spreads for new loan requests
- Work closely with account officer to ensure all documents needed for closing the new loans received and reviewed for compliance with credit approval and specific program requirements.
- Assist to engage appraisal, appraisal review, and environmental from approved vendors.
- Review all documents and forms to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Timely upload all documents to database and update LoanVantage / Loan Status Log.
- Complete CIP / CDD forms (Customer Identification Program / Customer Due Diligence).
- Perform initial review of loan documents.
- Ensure final loan documents and forms are properly executed, recorded, and delivered as appropriates.
- Respond to customers inquiries, bank reference, and CPA verification requests.
- There may be other responsibilities assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, with a focus in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
- Detail oriented with an aptitude for business and customer interaction.
- Must be efficient with cooperative work habits, while managing time to account for sudden fast-paced work environment.
- Proficient with business office and computer programs such as Word and Excel.
- Minimum three years’ of managing commercial real estate loan portfolio experience.

Education
Associates Degree and related on the job experience required.
